Find the actual news
Start with what changed. A product launch, new location, appointment or milestone needs a specific event and a clear audience. Write down the facts before asking a tool to turn them into prose. If you cannot explain the change in one sentence, narrow the announcement.
Make the first paragraph useful
Name the organisation, describe the news, give a date and location where relevant, and explain why the audience should care. Avoid opening with praise for the company. Readers should understand the event without having to decode a slogan.
Give every claim a source
Keep a review sheet for numbers, comparisons and customer statements. Link to supporting information when you can. Distinguish a company claim from independent evidence. Never let a drafting tool invent a quote, customer, statistic or award.
Use quotes that add information
A useful quote explains a decision or offers context that the facts alone do not provide. Confirm the speaker, title, wording and permission. Remove a quote if it only repeats the headline.
Run an approval pass
Check names, dates, links, spelling and the media contact. Confirm the publication date and any embargo with everyone involved. Review the final draft with the client before any distribution. The playground export is a working document, not an approval record.
